Registration & Eligibility Policies
Eligibility
- Programs are open to residents and non-residents unless otherwise specified. Non-resident registration will incur an additional fee.
- Some programs may have age, grade, or skill-level restrictions.
- Participants must meet eligibility requirements (age or grade) by the start date of the program. If space allows, participants may register after they meet the eligibility requirements.
- All participants in all programs must be toilet trained.
- Residency may be verified through proof of address (e.g., utility bill, driver’s license).
Registration Periods
- Registration opens and closes on predetermined dates for each program.
- Early registration is encouraged. Programs may fill before the published deadline.
- Late registrations may be allowed only if space permits.
Waitlist Policy
- If a program is full, a waitlist will be created.
- Waitlist spots are not guaranteed program placement.
- Participants will be contacted in the order they joined the waitlist if a space becomes available.
- Payment is not required to join the waitlist. If a space becomes available, payment is required at the time of notification of release from the waitlist.
Program Payment
- Payment is due at the time of registration.
- Online payment by credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover) is preferred. Exact cash or checks are also accepted in the Recreation Office during normal business hours.
- Program fees cannot be prorated.
Program Changes
Sayreville Recreation and the Borough of Sayreville reserve the right to:
- Cancel, postpone, or modify programs due to low enrollment, staffing issues, weather, or facility conflicts.
- Change instructors, schedules, or locations when necessary.
