Sayreville Stash's Scavenger Hunt

2024 scavenger hunt
Celebrate Parks & Recreation Month this July by participating in Sayreville Stash's Scavenger Hunt!

This scavenger hunt takes place at parks and recreational facilities. Throughout the hunt, families will:
  • Answer questions about parks by finding information and answers on signs and plaques
  • Complete various activities and upload photos or videos
  • Find QR codes to scan based on riddles, questions, or other clues

The event is July 3 to July 31. New parks and challenges are added each week, so be sure to check out the event app often! Each challenge is worth points and the top families with the most points at the end of the scavenger hunt will win a Sayreville Recreation prize pack perfect for the parks.

Here's how to participate:
  1. Download the Eventzee App (or scan the QR code above) and use code sayreville2024 to join the event.
  2. A list of groups and challenges will appear in your feed.
  3. Complete the challenges and earn points. 
  4. Check back in the app each week as new parks and challenges will be added.

Sayreville Stash’s Scavenger Hunt is named for the mascot voted on by residents at Sayreville Centennial Day in 2021. He is a peregrine falcon, the fastest bird in the world that can dive at speeds up to 248 miles per hour. There are numerous banded peregrine falcons in Sayreville. These birds have been recently removed from the critically endangered list to threatened to due rehab programming.
