The Office of Health Services in conjunction with the Middlesex County Water Safety Council recommend providing these lessons to second-grade school aged children as the children have reached an age where their parents no longer need to accompany them into the pool. At the same time, this age group is young enough to be able to learn quickly and be able to utilize the knowledge that they learn throughout their life. This program will be open to all second-grade students in the County and aims to reimburse the cost of lessons provided at any participating pool.
THIS PROGRAM IS ONLY OPEN TO CHILDREN IN 2ND GRADE IN THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR (CURRENT 2ND GRADERS).
REGISTRATION: ONE CLASS PER CURRENT 2ND GRADER
When registering for a new account, make sure you put that your child is in 2nd grade.
The reason it shows that it is open to 3rd graders is because the registration system must display the grade for the 2024-2025 school year. When registering your child, the registration system display this program for your child currently in 2nd grade.
Proof of or verification of grade may be required by Middlesex County as this is a County-funded program.
